A vintage storybook where Barbie narrates her story - Everyone knows Barbie, the fashion icon with her beautiful dream house. But beyond that is a story most people don’t stop to hear. Designing this book was like falling for an old friend all over again. The more I explored Barbie’s layers, the more I wanted to tell her story right. Barbie has lived a full life. She’s grown and has a lot of wisdom to share. This editorial traces her evolution from style icon to a symbol of empowerment, innovation, and cultural relevance. Role - Concept, Art direction, Copywriting, Graphic Design, Binding Challenges - This was my first time venturing into binding. I chose to do it myself to get the feel I envisioned. The process was fairly easy but also easy to mess up. And boy did I mess up. However, the end result is extremely satisfying and exactly what I wanted for this project.
